ABC's of SALVATION:
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the
world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
That’s TRUTH! …and that’s simple.
Romans 10:9,10 says, “…if you confess
with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and
are saved.”
BELIEVE and RECEIVE!
Simply Believe God and Accept what He offers, PLUS
NOTHING!
So, TRUTH exposes the lie for what it
is, and set us free from the bondage and fear of not being
able to measure up to God’s standards.
It is man (via Satan) who seeks to impose more than
God requires and more than Christ has already provided.
This was true of the Pharisees during Jesus’ walk
upon the Earth and, unfortunately, it is true now.
Man wants to legislate into a requirement for
receiving salvation what The Holy Spirit works in us
following salvation.
In other words, fruit comes from a mature tree.
We don’t require the fruit tree bear fruit before
being called a fruit tree.
Immature trees are slow to produce but they’re still
fruit trees.
In Salvation it is Jesus plus nothing.
His sacrifice was sufficient.
Any time you find someone teaching salvation as Jesus
plus… they are in error.
It’s not Jesus plus water baptism; it’s not Jesus
plus speaking in tongues; it’s not Jesus plus witnessing.
It’s not Jesus plus anything.
I like to say it’s as simple as ABC.
Ask, Believe and Confess.
Ask Jesus to forgive your sin and come into your
heart! Believe
that He is who He said He Is; and Confess Him as Lord…
Start speaking it!
